At Mermaids & Mullets, we specialise in kids’ haircuts and family-friendly styling, making haircuts a calm, positive and enjoyable salon experience for kids and parents too!
We have created an ocean themed salon where kids feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable from the moment they walk in.
Whether it’s your child’s first haircut or a regular trim, our friendly team ensures every visit is fun and stress-free.
We have lots to help keep little ones relaxed, happy and entertained during their visit, from tablets to watch their favourite shows, bubbles and pop-it’s to hair chalk and glitter.
Our little kids car chairs are perfect for younger children up to around 5 – 6 years, while our bigger kid’s area is designed for older children, tweens and parents too.
Waiting siblings are welcome to enjoy our play area, packed with a play kitchen, toys, books, colouring, sensory toys, puzzles and plenty more to keep them happily occupied.
At Mermaids and Mullets, booking your child’s haircut has never been easier. Our online booking system lets you schedule your child’s appointment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

1-on-1 Parent Braiding Lesson
60 minutes
Learn the techniques and tricks to create beautiful, neat braids at home with a personalised 1-0n-1 lesson at your own pace.
Practise on your child/mo or our mannequin head.
Monday to Thursday with Louise
Lesson times: 12pm or 1pm
Sunday Lesson time: 2:30pm

POLICIES
We know things come up, so we ask for at least 4 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 4 hours’ notice, or no-shows, will be charged 50% of the service cost.
This fee can be paid online or at your next appointment.
